6 Reasons Why You Should Use Makeup Primer

Like an artist primes their canvas before painting it, you should be priming YOUR canvas - your beautiful face. Primer, a gel applied before your makeup, creates a flawless face while providing many other benefits:

1. Creates a smooth surface: It smooths fine lines and wrinkles by filling them in, it also helps fill in facial scarring.

2. Evens out skin tone: Reduces inflammation and redness

3. Hydrates and nourishes skin: Trehalose (found in some primers) is a plant sugar with water-binding properties for skin, as well as humectant (moisture preserving) and moisturizing benefits.

4. Tightens pores: This, along with being a barrier between your skin & makeup, helps keep your pores clean and free of makeup. It also helps prevent your pores from secreting oil, reducing shine.

5. Makeup lasts longer: This is especially important during harsh winters and humid summers. No matter what time of year, your need to touch up will greatly be reduced!

6. Makes your makeup POP: This picture shows the difference of hues without and with primer -

Younique's Primer is gluten-free, 100% natural, free of parabens, oils, synthetic fragrances, and cheap fillers.

Why Go With Organic Makeup?

We all know about this fairly new concept of organic food, organic makeup and even organic clothes. But not all of us are sure what it means and if the products really are good and helpful, so to those of you who still are confused, this article should help you clarify things!

We have to admit that sometimes we hesitate to put on a complete makeup because we’ve heard it’s bad for the skin and it ruins our complexion.  But we shouldn’t exaggerate – even if the origins of makeup weren’t so skin-friendly, the cosmetics industry has progressed enormously.

So, what are organic cosmetics?
Recently, in our new generation of cosmetics we can find products that are 100% harmless to the skin- organic cosmetics.

The first distinction you need to make: Organic does not mean natural, but more than that! Whether it's daily creams or eye-shadow, products are manufactured with 95%-100% natural ingredients.

The novelty is that the plants from which the ingredients are extracted are grown without chemical fertilizers and the manufacturing process does not involve radiation or genetic modifications.
So that means: no synthetic fragrances, no artificial colors, no harmful fillers. Yay!
For example, Younique products offer natural alternatives to makeup. In their formula, you will only find plant and mineral ingredients, natural botanical extracts and antioxidants for a pure, gentle and beautiful makeup.

Organic Must-Haves:

  •   RefreshedPure & Natural Rose Water - Use as a quick splash of revitalizing moisture for a botanical boost or mix with Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powders for a smooth and creamy application.

  •         BB Flawless Complexion Enhancer- Lightweight, creamy, and a perfect base for their powder concealers. It covers imperfections, but also soothes and moisturizes your skin at the same time.

·
  •        MoodstruckMinerals Blushser – Apply blush on the cheeks, slightly smiling, to obtain a revitalised, gorgeous look! Blush helps to give a touch of color exactly where needed.

·
  •             LucrativeLip Gloss – It’s a known fact that us women " eat " about five lipsticks during our lifetime. This is not a problem with lipstick that contains vitamins rather than chemicals. Choose the Lucrative lip-gloss for a rich spread of color, very smooth and highly pigmented, for a bright, bold, or subtle shines to your lips!

Ok, now I know what they are, but why should I use them?

Given that our body absorbs about 60% of the contents of creams, oils or lotions applied to the skin, it’s highly indicated that they are as gentle as they can be. Otherwise, we can develop different rashes, irritations, or most importantly - hormonal and metabolic imbalances.
The solution to staying healthy and beautiful is to use non-toxic products, such as the high-quality makeup from Younique.

How to Keep Nail Polish Chip Free

Visualize this: You've just spent over an hour immaculately applying your favorite color or brand of nail polish on your toenails, and they look divine. You can hardly keep from jumping for joy. You go out with a bunch of friends, and they all compliment you. An hour later, while waiting in a queue or picking up something from the floor, you look at your feet, and you see that your nail lacquer has chipped in several places. You can almost feel that tide of frustration building up inside you.

All of us have gone through this at one time or another. This is why you now need to make sure that it never happens again. And thankfully, there are multiple ways to accomplish it.

The first thing that you need to make sure is that your nails are squeaky clean before applying polish to them. Most of us forget this really important step. The dirt/oil on our nails gets in the way of the lacquer sticking onto the nails, and ultimately leads to the polish peeling away. Soaking your fingers in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes often forms an important part of a manicure, because it helps soften the epidermal layer and facilitates the cutting of any cuticles around the nails. If you want to pamper your hands, then add a few teaspoons of this Refreshed Pure & Natural Rose Water to moisturize and hydrate them.

Secondly, remember to file and buff your nails. You can use a nail buffer or an emery board for this. Don't file them back and forth, but only do so in one direction. Any ragged edges will just increase the chances of your nail polish chipping off.

It’s always better to apply one thin coat, wait for it to dry completely, and then apply another thin coat on top of it instead of just slopping on one thick coat. Layers help because they stick to each other, and provide even more strength. You can further protect your nail polish from external environmental damage such as heat by applying a top clear coat to seal the polish.

Lastly, avoid biting your nails. No matter how tough your nail polish is, nothing can beat the sharp points of your teeth, and biting your nails is just like cursing your own soul.

Glamorous Pigment Powders For Bold Dramatic Eyes

One of my all-time favorite eye makeup product is the Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powder, which is perfect for creating a glamorous and dramatic look for your eyes. This eye shadow comes in nifty little jars that are travel size I can carry a large number of them around with me for on the go make up.

The best part of owning these eye shadows are the versatility of the shades. I like to blend together Dignified, which is subtle forest green color, with a hint of silver in it and Crushed, which is a deeper shade of green to create a bold yet toned down look, perfect for a professional meeting or a casual evening out. Applying a bit of Crushed or Risque near the lash line or at the corner gives an interesting smoky effect.

In contrast, I use the Gorgeous shade for dinner parties and more festive gatherings. This is a vibrant orange gold color with tons of shimmer in it. I like to use is separately, without mixing any other color because it is bold enough on its own.

On the whole, the Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powder shades glide on easily and fill in any creases immediately. They are super saturated with pigment, though, so you don’t have to use a substantial quantity every time so achieve a solid layered look. The best part about these pigment powders are that hundred percent natural and chemical-free with a mineral base. They are also free of talc, oils, preservatives, perfumes, synthetic dyes, and parabens, so you don’t have to worry about your sensitive skin reacting adversely to them.

To achieve the best possible application of eye shadow, use a Younique Crease Brush. It is specially designed to create precise and deliberate application of color. Sweeping back and forth in the upper crease or around the eyes with just the tip of the crease brush will result in a precise color. The fact that is has inner high-quality copper ferrule is the cherry on top. This means it won't rust when you use it wet or dry, and it will last you a lifetime.

Top 2 Cosmetic Products For Oily Skin

Do you wake up in the morning and feel like every day is a bad day for your skin? Do you end up getting late to work or college because you spend way too much time covering up blemishes, cleansing out your pores or trying to revitalize dead looking skin? I know I certainly have! Read on for solutions to your makeup problems!

I understand the complexities involved with having an exceptionally oily skin. Touch Pressed Powder Foundation has natural minerals that help the oil from breaking through. It promises long hours of shine control and is perfect for sensitive skin. It minimizes the appearance of pores and it definitely clogs them the least among all the powder foundations I have used.

I use a liquid foundation on my face and then ‘lock it down’ with Touch. Another thing that I really like about this product is that the compact cake doesn't crumble or break off into small pieces after some use. In fact, I have even dropped it on my bathroom counter from a height of about 1 foot, and it miraculously didn't crack. So I didn't have to worry so much about creating a mess, or wasting product. (This doesn't mean you should be reckless, though. Nobody can get away with the damage caused by dropping any pressed powder from a greater height.)

I use the shade Scarlet to match my skin tone, but there are other shades that are also available such as Organza, Chiffon, Satin, and Cashmere.

This is my number one fix in situations where I feel like I’m about to have a breakout. As already implied, I have very oily skin and suffer from a mild to moderate case of acne. If you stay long hours cooped up in your office or university and want people to still compliment you about your flawless skin at the end of the day, then this is great makeup for you. Since this pressed powder has a lot of pigment, the key to getting a natural look is to use it by applying with a foundation brush.

It does a good job of spreading easily over my uneven skin. I use this product to conceal only my acne scars and the occasional blemishes, and not the whole face. Not many people have been able to tell that I actually wear foundation. The cream foundation has the same color range as the pressed powder.

Get Super Shiny Hair with Natural Ingredients

We all want hair with massive shine, right? Well, did you know that the solution to getting glossy hair lies right in your kitchen or the nearest grocery store? You don’t need expensive branded hair products and you definitely don’t need to spend huge amounts of money on them. Because the ingredients that we are about to discuss are cost effective, and since they are organic and natural, they have no side effects that harsh chemicals have.

Mayonnaise
Many people would say mayonnaise sounds icky and gross. And it’s so fattening, so better to stay away from it, right? WRONG! Only a few people know that mayonnaise is really made from egg yolks, oil and vinegar/lemon juice. The protein from egg yolks complement the keratin protein that your hair is made out of, and it strengthens the shaft from within. In addition, the oil conditions it and gives it shine. I personally like to call it my hair marshal, since it’s got so many nutritious items all combined into one.

How to Apply:
Apply directly, giving special attention to the ends of your hair. Don’t rub too much in the scalp, and then cover your hair with a shower cap or a plastic bag, so that it doesn’t dry out, and the hair can absorb as much of the goodness as possible. Rinse it out with water after letting it sit for an hour, and then shampoo and condition like normal. You will be able to feel the difference afterwards.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Did you know that you can use apple cider vinegar as a rinse after shampooing your hair? This regime is an important part of my hair care routine. Not only will it give your hair massive shine, it will also restore the pH of your hair, and rid of dry flakes and scalp itchiness.

How to Apply:
Just add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar along with ½ table spoon of rose water to 1 liter of water, and use this diluted mixture to pour over your hair. Be careful not to rinse your hair with it more than twice a week and do always dilute it according to the instructions given since apply cider vinegar alone is pretty acidic.

Simple Anti-Aging Techniques For StayingYoung!

Ask any woman in their mid forties and they will refrain from telling you their true ages. Also, ask them what their number-one wish is, and most of them will say that it is to look like those forever young immortals depicted in Desperate Housewives.

From a scientific based approach, anti aging is the turnaround or slowing down of the natural aging process that occurs in the body. While there has been no technology developed that has actually reversed the procedure of getting old like that shown in a recent Hollywood film, ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’, there definitely are some ways that allow us to slow down the route.  The two major things that we can adopt in our lives in order to stay and look young is a healthy lifestyle, and knowing how to apply great makeup.

Avoiding the sun is a good way to allow the skin to remain looking young as excessive amounts of sunshine can cause wrinkles on the skin and lead to freckles and dark spots. Moisturizing your skin on a daily basis is also very important, so a product such as Younique Brilliant Daily Moisturizing Gel, made with natural silver, ginseng, and pearl powder from freshwater pearls, goes a long way to keep the skin hydrated and fresh.

A good diet provides us with all the nutrients that a body needs. This means that you have to eat a lot of vegetables, and fruits that will provide you with vitamins and antioxidants. Vitamins are substances that are necessary for the good condition of the body while antioxidants are substances that slow down the damage caused to other substances by effects of oxygen. For example, oranges are a good source of vitamin C, which is really good for skin.Yogurt has calcium and vitamin D which will enable the calcium to be readily absorbed into the body, even if you are of a mature age, because calcium usually stops depositing in the bones after you cross the age of twenty. Dark chocolate contains a lot of antioxidants and very less amount of sugar so it is advised to replace it in your diet with normal or milk chocolate, which has a huge caloric value. Also, fruits like strawberries and cherries are rich in antioxidants.

Of course, using makeup can drastically change the appearance of an individual. Applying the right products in the right way can take years off your look. For example, applying concealer at the edge of the eyes and making sure it has blended in finely can reduce the crow’s feet around your eyes, mask fine wrinkles and make you look young.

Eye Makeup Essentials For 2014

People say eyes are the windows to your soul. It is also a popular opinion that your eyes are the first thing that get noticed when somebody looks at you. That’s why it is important to spend some time and effort into making sure that your eyes look great.

Here are two essential eye makeup products that will help your eyes look vibrant and beautiful!

Pencil Eye Liner
I never leave home without applying eyeliner, because my eyes are pretty small and I have literally received comments that I look sleep-deprived without it. Moodstruck Precision Pencil Eye Liner  is one of the best liners I've used in terms of precision, gliding on better than any other.
It’s not like most pencil eyeliners where a lot of product is wasted away when sharpening to attain a pointed nib. These eye liners come in a variety of colors such as prim, proper, presumptuous, pristine, passionate and precious. My personal favorite is the Perfect, which is a deep black color a with a very faint brown tone to it, just enough to break the bluntness of the black and make the eye makeup appear very natural. And the best part about it is that is doesn't smudge for hours after application.

It’s a neat little thing, accompanied by a compact case so that it can be carried around travel bags/clutches. For greater control and precision, a quick tip is to hold the pencil close to the nib for better stability. I would recommend this eyeliner to those who want sharp outlines and accurate application.

Mineral Pigment Powder
This is the perfect product for summer! Not only does it have a lightweight feel and subtle shimmer, but it also gives a fresh natural look. I would recommend Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powders which are chemical-free, mineral-based pigment powders. They are also free of talc, oils, preservatives, perfumes, synthetic dyes, and parabens. The variety of shades available allow you to play with your look, giving you the freedom to choose between minimalist and daring looks. Another added advantage is that they’re super loaded with pigment, so you just have to use a small quantity to achieve a solid layered look.

Time Saving Hairstyles for College Going Women

Learning how to make some really great time saving hairstyles should be a top priority for any working woman or college going student. There are just so many days you end up waking late for school and so, you need a ‘do that can be made within minutes and looks ultra-chic at the same time.

The Messy Hair Bun
To achieve this look, you just need some bobby pins, a scrunch or an elastic band to hold your hair. There are many variations of this hairstyle. For example, you can have your hair piled up at the top of your head to show off your long slender neck, or you can choose to make a bun at the nape of your neck.
All you have to do now is to tie your hair in a ponytail, and then twist it around in a circular motion and secure with bobby pins. One of the tricks that should be incorporated over here is to let some stray locks loose out of the bun. This tactic gives your hairstyle a sexy carefree look, and does away with any severe appearance.

Wild Waves
Do you have long hair that takes ages to curl using a hot iron rod? Is the hour long early morning routine involving lots of heat damage starting to get to you? Sometimes, we just don’t have that much time – or hair product - to make those perfect ringlets or smooth waves. Well, why not try a sexier alternative?

You can achieve this look with a simple time saving technique. You need to start off with towel dried hair divided into sections. The hair should be just slightly damp – NOT wet. Apply a bit of face primer to the ends to prevent split ends and moisturize the locks. Yes, it really works! Then, just braid each section of your hair and tie the ends with elastic bands. Preferably, you should just sleep with the hair still braided and open the braids in the morning. However, if you’re in a rush, use a blow-dryer till you can feel the hair has become absolutely dry.

If you want tighter waves, then just divide your hair into a larger number of sections and braid your hair more finely. The result: Wavy tresses that are high on volume.

Make Your Makeup Stay On Longer!

Ask any working women or college going students about their makeup woes, and one of the first things you’ll hear is that the products start to smudge or run even before lunch break. It is already hard enough trying to finding the right make up for your skin type so many women just settle for makeup that isn't really long lasting. Well, ladies, don’t give up! You can have your cake and eat it too! Learning how to make your make up stay even hours after application is quite simple, and should be a top priority for anyone who is out for long hours.

All you need are a few simple tricks to keep your makeup weather proof:

Apply Makeup Primer
Rubbing a makeup primer on your face before applying any foundation helps not only smoothen the skin but keeps your makeup smudge and smear resistant. Be sure to apply a makeup primer that is free of parabens, and synthetic fragrances.

Opt For Water Proof Cosmetics
The advantage of using water proof cosmetics such as water proof mascaras and eyeliners is that you don’t have to be constantly worried that they might result in runny eyes on a rainy or hot, sweaty day.

Opt For Mineral Powders
Try using mineral powders as an alternative to liquid foundations and mousse creams. They not only result in an application that is velvety and well blended but they also prevent the natural oil of your face from breaking out for much longer in comparison to creams. Another neat little trick is to dust a bit of bronzer to the high points of your facial features. This will add color/warmth and complete the look, without having to apply too much product. This sort of makeup lasts in all kinds of weather.

Use A Sun Screen as A Make Up Primer

There is no denying the benefits of using a makeup primer to prep up your skin, but in cases of emergencies, you can substitute sunscreen for makeup primers. You can also choose to buy tinted sunscreens with moisturizing properties and do away with the hassle of applying foundation afterwards. A sun screen with a high SPF protects you from harsh sunshine. At the same time it allows your make up to better settle into your skin. Just make sure you wait at least 15 minutes before applying makeup so that it has been completely absorbed into your skin.

Face Masks for Different Skin Types

Picture this: You've been excited all week about a grand party, and the day has finally arrived. However, just before getting ready, you realize that your skin looks really dead and dull. Does this happen to you often? We can feel your pain! Sometimes, your skin needs an immediate pick-me-up, and what better way is there than to make a face mask that uses only the simple ingredients that can be found right in your kitchen?

Following are recipes of customized face masks - for different skin types. If you’re looking for inexpensive, all-natural yet super effective fixes for your skin, then read on!

For Oily Skin
For people who are prone to acne, honey is one of the best remedies you could find. It has antiseptic properties, and this helps kill germs and bacteria.

For this mask, all you need is about 2 teaspoons of honey. Add to that ½ teaspoon of lemon juice and apply it to your face and let it stay for about 20 minutes. Don’t add too much lemon juice or it might sting. Also, be sure not to go into the sunlight with the mask still on. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. The lemon juice is very effective in fading blemishes and acne scarring.

If you feel that the lemon juice is too harsh for you, then you can use rose water as a substitute. Rose water freshens up your skin in an instant, and moisturizes it without weighing it down.

For Dry Skin
Mash up 2 bananas finely, so that their consistency is like that of a smooth thick paste and add ½ cup yogurt and 1 tablespoon of honey to it. Honey is a humectant, so it locks in moisture, and keeps your skin supple and hydrated. Apply a uniform layer to your face and wash it away with warm water only after it has begun to dry. This can take up to 20 minutes so catch up on your reading while your skin soaks up all the goodness. It will feel wonderfully soft afterwards.

For Sensitive Skin
Beat up an egg till it’s fluffy, and then add in 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon yogurt. The last ingredient is the cucumber juice, which you can obtain by grating a cucumber and then squeezing the whole thing through a sieve to get juice out of it. Leave it on your skin for about 20 minutes and then rinse. The protein from the egg firms up your skin while the cucumber provides a soothing effect.

What is so great about these face masks is that they’re completely natural - and edible - so they won’t damage your skin the way a chemical might. Who needs all those costly inorganic skin treatments when you can let nature take care of your skin for you? Happy skin-pampering!

Pine, Starflower and Spirulina

beauty secrets

Like we have promised earlier, this is our second post about some beauty secrets with natural ingredients. Please check previous post about Camomile, Wheat and Evening Primrose.

Pine for a perfect skin - The pine bark extract is a natural antioxidant, which uses the protective enzymes and natural antioxidants of the French pine. It is an excellent supplement to maintain a healthy skin.

Make a wish to the Starflower - The other name for the Starflower is Trientalis Borealis and it is a white star-shaped flower with seven petals. It is even more effective than the Evening Primrose Oil, thanks to its high concentrations of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an essential ingredient to the health of your skin.

No more blemishes and inperfections with Spirulina - Spirulina is a blue-green alga that contains high concentrations of amino acids and antioxidants, probiotics and phytonutrients that can be passed to your body to promote healthy hair and skin. Taken as a supplement or used in the form of mask, it is believed to reduce the formation of  blemishes and imperfections.

As a complement to your skin treatment, you can apply a rich and restorative facial Younique Moisturizer and/or a pure and natural Rose Water. Your skin will absolutely glow.

Camomile, Wheat and Evening Primrose

beauty secrets

Today we are going to uncover six Beauty Secrets. The first post of the day is dedicated to the first three: Camomile, Wheat and Evening Primrose.

Drink Camomile Infusion - Before you go to sleep, drink an infusion of Camomile. It is a natural way to reduce and prevent  the appearance of dark circles or bags under your eyes, by helping you sleep and reducing the facial tension.

Wheat Plant - Being one of the earliest cultivated grains, wheat plant is filled with vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes. The wheat plant juice can be taken as a drink, applied directly on the skin or ingested as a supplement.
Used as tonic, it fades sunspots and imperfections, stimulates the growth of healthy new skin and helps eliminate toxins.

Evening Primrose - Evening Primrose oil, taken daily in the form of capsules, helps the skin to remain flexible and without spots or blemishes. Also, it helps overcoming the premenstrual syndrome, which makes the skin more greasy.

When your skin is so perfect and well taken care of, makeup is just a complement to make you more beautiful. Please check Younique's collection.

The Benefits of The Yellow Fruits

benefits of yellow fruits

We all talk about the numerous health benefits of red fruits, but other healthy foods are often forgotten. It is the case of yellow fruit and vegetables, which offer very interesting advantages for the body, both in terms of health and beauty.

Banana, pineapple, mango, pear, passion fruit, carrot, orange, apricot and peach are some of the fruits that are included in this group. Its properties include high concentrations of vitamins A, B and C, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and sodium, and antioxidant components, folic acid, beta-carotene and thiamine.

Why You Souldn't Sleep With Makeup?

sleep-makeup

There are many reasons why you shouldn't go to bed before cleaning your makeup. Below you can find the reasons why you shouldn't sleep with makeup:

  • Makeup dehydrates your skin;
  • Makeup leaves your skin dull, with no natural shine;
  • It will clog the pores, preventing the skin from breathing;
  • Contributes to growth of blackheads and whiteheads;
  • Accelerates the skin aging process;
  • It will make your skin look older;
  • Increases proliferation of bacteria in the skin itself, reducing its oxygenation;
  • For those who have oily skin, it further increases the oiliness of the skin;
  • For those who have dry skin, it further increases skin dryness.

And your pillow always looks like it's been through a war!

So please be sure that you always remove your makeup at night. To complement the process, clean your skin with Rose Water. It's a versatile beauty application in full bloom! Pure and natural.

And, no more panda eyes!

Wedding: What Makeup Should You Wear?

wedding makeup

If you are planning your big day, this text is for you.

A future bride has many things to decide and organize before the Wedding: Ceremony, Reception, Guests, Flowers, etc. But the most important on that day is YOU, the Bride. And, that's also the best part: deciding which dress you will be wearing, hairstyle, shoes, and of course makeup.

One thing in common in bridal makeup is the simplicity and the "angelical look" effect. We have to agree that a Bride will look good anyway, but it's important to emphasize that if you are planning to accentuate your eyes, you should apply a light/nude color for the lips and vice-versa. In this set of images that we researched for you, it's obvious that this "rule" was followed. And, you can also check the hairstyles.

For a perfect, flawless makeup please take care of your skin first. Apply a Facial Cleanser and a good Moisturizer. Then, proceed with your usual Makeup routine, and don't forget to keep it simple.

It will be a great day, so be sure to give people good reasons to discuss. Dazzle!

How to Save a Broken Eyeshadow Palette

If you dropped your eyeshadow palette, we would like you to know that it has solution.

Put a little bit of alcohol,  and drop it into the remaining eyeshadow that you were able to recover. Please avoid picking up the eyeshadow that is in direct contact to the ground. Make sure the amount of alcohol you are dropping in is enough to make the powder obtain a pasty consistency and not watery.

With a toothpick start stirring until you get that pasty consistency. With a paper towel press against the paste that has formed and massage it. This will cause the alcohol to be sucked into the paper and the powder will be compacted again.

And it's done, just clean up what was released into the palette, not to make a mess.
Leave the palette open so that alcohol can evaporate.

Note: Use only alcohol, water may not dry completely and it will end up creating fungus in makeup!

If after this procedure you still can't save your palette please check Younique Pigments. The colors are in independent recipients, and if you drop one, well it's only one that you have to save!

Makeup Tips for a Night Out

makeup for a night out

At night , you can abuse a little more in makeup, but always be careful not to exaggerate. If your eyes are well accentuated, do not overdo the lipstick and vice versa .

Prepare the skin, hiding the imperfections, it's also important at night. So, follow the same procedures of the day, leaving your skin flawless.

In this preparation, a product that makes all the difference is the illuminator/highlighter. Choose to apply it in strategic places: inside the eyes (to open the eyes) and cheekbones. Also, please check our previous post How to Contour your Face like a Celebrity.

Colored, metallic, dark... play with the eye shadows, which may be the most diverse that you can find. Apply lots of eyeliner and put on some fake eyelashes, this will give an "upgrade" to your eyes.

Like we always advise, pay attention to the occasion and the location. These should serve as an indicator of the sophistication that your makeup should have.

5 tips to disguise a "tired face"

disguise a tired face

Sometimes we're so tired that we don't even have time or will to apply makeup. However, this fatigue is reflected in our face. Learn how to disguise a "tired face" by following these 5 steps:

1. Apply the right Concealer for your skin complexion. If possible, choose one that has sub tones of peach to balance the blue and purple of your dark circles.

2. Apply light eyeshadows. This is not time for a smokey black eye. Use colors like gold and extend it to the inner part of the eye to highlight it.

3. Apply the liner only through 3/4 of the eyes. It will make your eyes look more open.

4. Curve your eyelashes. You eyes will look prettier.

5. Apply lots of Mascara. Really!

How to contour your face like a celebrity

contour like a celebrity

The contour of the face is often used by celebrities to highlight strengths and minimize weaknesses. It is simply the act of using light and dark colors in makeup to define the points of the face.

Where to apply the highlighter?

The highlighter is critical to emphasize the points where you want to brighten your face, and you can apply it in the center of the forehead extending the brightness to the tip of the nose. Also, you can apply a little bit of highlighter under the eyes, extending to where the nose starts.

Where to apply the bronzer to define your features?

To define the lines in your face use a brush to apply a bronzer or a powder a shade darker than your skin. You can apply the bronzer from the sides of the forehead into the eyes, but remember: In the forehead the bronzer should be well mixed especially where your scalp begins. You can also apply some powder in the concave part of  your eye - upper side of the eyelid - extending it to the sides of the nose. It will make your nose look thinner. Never forget the neck.
